MAC Retro Matte Lipstick Review

22 February 2017

Hello babies,

Today is a beauty review for the one and only MAC. So if you keep up to date with my blog you'll see I did a lot of stuff in the month of January and one of those things was going up to London. Whilst I was in London we came across a MAC shop.. oops. My sister and I had a MAC voucher from Christmas so we thought we may as well have a look to see what there is. we all went in without any intentions of actually purchasing anything but we all walked out with a purchase of their new Retro Matte liquid lip colour. No regrets.

I have been wanting a dark lipstick for ages but didn't know what colour to go for. I found a normal Matte lipstick that I quite liked in the colour 'stone'. However, they were having a lip trial day so all three of us were trying on colours by one of the professionals. I went to try on Stone but they lady persuaded me to try on 'Simply Smoked in the retro matte lip colour, I agreed and it was the best decision I've ever made (I say that about everything but I am happy with my purchase). These lip colours are supposed to stay on for 10+ hours, through eating, drinking, everything. I haven't yet worn it long enough to test this theory.

Along with the lip colour I also purchased a lip liner (always need a lip liner with lipstick) in 'Stone'. This is like a perfect match to the matte lip colour. If you are looking for a new lip stick, matte lip gloss, anything lip-colour-wise, I would definitely recommend the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour. They're so pigmented and thick, and they do not dry your lips out like other matte lipsticks can do.

Take a look at their collection and let me know what you think. Or if you have already tried them out or purchased one, what do you think?
